Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 in 1970) is an American former football tight end. Gonzalez was a player in the National Football League from 1997 through 2003. He is one of the NFL's most successful tight ends and third-best overall receiver, he's been recognized as the NFL's most effective tight end, in terms of receptions, yards he has received, achieved, and so on.
Tony Gonzalez is currently a FOX studio analyst for the studio. Since the 2017 NFL season began, Gonzalez has been a fixture on FOX NFL KICKOFF, FOX's hour long NFL pregame show preceding FOX NFL Sunday. It airs every Sunday morning at 11:00 am ET throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez was signed to a contract with the Falcons with a two-year term and $11 million on the 15th of March 2013. The signing was in spite of being aware that Gonzalez previously stated that he was planning to retire after the 2012 NFL football season. Randy Moss retiring, Gonzalez's 37th season was the last as NFL receiving yard leader.
